Our objective is to bring the pros and beginners together to socialise, compete and have fun together. As in a golf match, every climber gets given a handicap based upon his or her climbing performance over the last year and other personal best performances. Basically to win this competition, you will have to climb a lot (against your handicap) on the first day and then climb hard on the second day. A logical and fair but complicated system will be explained before the start of the competition. Read the rules! Event program will be published on www.climb.co.za soon.

We need to understand that the direct impact of rock climbing on community/council land may become an issue as time goes by. The pro-active approach in this regard is to start involving the local businesses and schools holistically. We have therefore decided to involve the following entities to benefit from your money spent in this area: Imemeza High School, Kaya-Lami and Silver Days homes for the age and "Chickendust". On the registration form, you will see a basic menu for the weekend. Support the above mentioned local businesses and charities through this way. This is our way of making sure your money goes to our communities. Part of your registration fee will also go towards climbing development in the mentioned school as well as a trail building community project. Please do not hesitate to ask us further questions in this regard. |
